School Organizations and Activities

Classroom learning comprises only part of the student's education. Central Florida Institute encourages students to participate in school activities and organizations, which develop leadership, enthusiasm for the industries and camaraderie among fellow students. Many lasting friendships are formed between our students.

MAST - Medical Assistant Success Team

MAST is an organization that is run by 4th and 5th term Medical Assistant students who know what it takes to succeed. They have found that delicate balance between having a life outside of the classroom while still dedicating themselves to their studies and maintaining their grades. These students have found that attitude is everything, and in doing so, they have made themselves successful. The members of MAST share their success with other Medical Assistant students in order that they might also be successful. They know that it is easier to have someone to work with and share with than it is to go-it-alone.

  • Hints from a peer on how to study more effectively
  • Tutoring from a peer, rather than an instructor
  • A peer to talk to about those things outside of the classroom that are affecting school

Students 4 Students

Students 4 Students is an organization that was established by the students for the benefit of students at CFI. Students 4 Students has no formal policies and procedures. The students meet every Monday at 8:00am, 2:35pm, and 5:30pm. All students of CFI are welcome to participate in the organization. It is the students themselves who determine which activities they wish to pursue. Meetings are limited to a max of one half hour.

Some of the activities that Students 4 Students have orchestrated are:

  • 50's Sockhop
  • Family Night
  • Garage Sale
